*Danish crude output slipped to 374,248 b/d in March from 387,061 b/d in February*, according to the latest output figures released by the Danish Energy Authority. Output in March 2002 was slightly higher at 378,464 b/d. Average output from the country's 16 North Sea producers in Dec 2002 to Feb 2003 inclusive was 382,622 b/d, down from 393,025 b/d pumped in Dec 2001 to Feb 2002. Dan was the biggest producer in March and pumped 103,876 b/d, down from 106,520 b/d the month before. Halfdan's output dropped to 77,318 b/d from 89,825 b/d. Gorm pumped 55,684 b/d, down from 58,714 b/d while Syd Arne produced 39,071 b/d. Danish gas output in March was also lower and pegged at 1.143 Bcf/day, down from 1.155 Bcf/d in February but higher than 1.125 Bcf/d in Mar 2002. Some 934-mil cu ft/d of the gas output was sold with the rest flared, re-injected or used as fuel. Source: Platts
Talisman Energy subsidiary, Talisman Malaysia, has made an oil discovery in Block PM-305 offshore Malaysia. The South Angsi-1 well successfully tested the South Angsi prospect located some 10 kilometers south of the Angsi field in Block PM-305. The well discovered oil in two reservoir intervals. An upper high quality reservoir, with 20 meters of net oil pay, tested at a rate of 8,500 bbls/d of 41 degree API oil. A lower reservoir interval, with 15 meters of net oil pay, tested 2,800 bbls/d of 48 degree API oil. The combined rate from both well tests was 11,300 bbls/d of oil. Source: Rigzone
